It’s not all about the gym during the Winter, your local pump track can be a great work out and fantastic skill development.

Here in Southland we have a number of great tracks but Matuara is outstanding. .

  • Tarmac - Fast rolling, tonnes of grip.

  • Flood lit - good to go for those late evenings.

Take a friend and a stop watch run alternating laps watch your times change with effort, fatigue or just have some fun.

I took my HR monitor with me on this weeks session, I knew it was work out but wondered just what the numbers looked like. With a max heart rate of 163 (way into zone 4) and a almost constant sprint recover, having this much fun surly cant be good for your fitness ??? Can it.
