Southland Mountain Bike Club Volunteers are working hard for your riding pleasure!
Theres some ambitions plans for both Bluff and Sandy Point trail networks. For Bluff the first point of call is making the existing network as resilient as possible and also mellowing out a few sections to keep the blue - blue! Hopefully more resilient trails will mean less maintenance next year and then we can start the development of new tracks !! Who doesn’t love a freshie!
Today my self and Marcus headed down to prep a section we knew needed drying out in preparation for surfacing next week.
2 people 2 hours.
The next Dig is Saturday the 15th of August, meeting at the XC carpark at 9.30, we will run till approx 2pm and then down to the Golden Age Tavern for a cheeky post dig pint and snacks!

The club survives on its volunteer work, money raised from running events, its membership and it’s sponsors. If your coming to ride please join the club and if you ride regularly come for a dig or if digging isn’t your thing/ don’t have time, please consider making a donation. The club needs materials and tools and there are sections of work the club will need to contract out to professional trail builders.
Hope you can make this Saturday, if not keep your eyes peeled on the Club website.
See you there!
